I know of no benefit to using QOwnNotes style zettel:// links as the plugin currently does.

WikiStyle links with the Zettel ID in the link itself would be more concise and useful.

They should ideally allow a short-form only containing the [[20182811155638]] link id, or a long form - conforming to the standard markdown link scheme: [20182811155638](This is another Zettel)

new script option:
'Default to WikiStyle Links' - if selected new links will be created in the style of WikiLinks

Function of the 'New Zettel' Button:

  • if nothing selected - create standalone Zettel, not connected to the current one
  • if something selected, depending on selected option
    • create [[WikiStyle]] link inplace
    • make a standard [markdown-style](link)
