abstract: 'The wage, which first emerged with the industrial revolution and is defined as the amount paid by the employer or the third person in return for labor, is among the most important and most controversial issues of working life today. While the wage constitutes a significant cost item for employers from one side, it forms the sole source of income for dependent workers from the other side. The minimum wage, which means the lowest wage that can be given to the employees, is a basic social policy instrument applied to ensure socio - economic well - being of the society Minimum wage application; an income level of a society, national income share, level of employment, economic growth status, and practices that are designed to increase social welfare. In recent years, many countries have emphasized and strengthened the practice of minimum wages in the fight against poverty and inequality. The ``2030 Sustainable Development Agenda{''''} adopted at the United Nations in 2015 is aimed at providing equality for all women and men in all aspects of the working environment and developing work / salaries that are worthy of humanity.
